Most of the work happens before the first cut.

Custom work usually gets decided with descriptions, reference photos, and a fair amount of guessing. I'd rather settle it on screen, where being wrong is cheap, than in the wall, where it isn't.

How a room gets resolved before it's permanent.

I build the whole thing digitally first, working through every joint, dimension, and step until nothing about it is still fuzzy. By the time anything gets cut, the decisions are already made.

You react to something real

A rendering of the finished room before it exists, so you're responding to a picture instead of my description of one. Come in at the design stage and we head off the problems while they're still ideas. Not required. It helps.

We iterate where it's cheap

Nobody lands the right design on the first pass. We refine the model together — scale, proportion, material, the way the light falls — until you can look at it and know it's the one. Rounds are cheap in pixels and expensive in plywood.

The same hands build it

Drawn, built, and set by one person, so nothing gets lost between the model and the room. What you approved is what shows up.

The corner that shouldn't work

A shower valve where it looks like one can't go.

A large glass shower, full-height storage, and the shower valve all had to share the same tight corner. The common move is to frame a thick wall, return the corner in tile, and hide the valve in the bulk. It works, but it closes the room down. The harder answer was to keep the wall thin and land the valve on a narrow band of tile, leaving nine inches of depth to carry the plumbing, cabinet trim, and blocking, with the last four inches cantilevered past the studs. It only works because every layer was planned in sequence before the first board went up.

Frame a thick wall, return the corner in tile. Room for the valve, but the bulk costs the shower and the storage.

Eighteen inches of tile, eighteen of glass, the valve centered on the tile. Tile and glass meet in one flat plane, set into a specialized Schluter channel locked in under the tile, where nothing can be fastened after the fact.
